Ami Bhatt, an Associate at Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., has been included in the New York Metro Rising Stars® 2016 Edition. The rigorous selection process combines peer nominations and evaluations with third-party validation of professional accomplishments. The magazine, which features the list and profiles of selected attorneys, is distributed to attorneys in the state or region and to ABA-accredited law school libraries. Super Lawyers is also published as a special section in leading city and regional magazines across the country. In the United States, Super Lawyers Magazine is published in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., reaching more than 13 million readers.
A resident of New York, Bhatt concentrates her practice on trademark and copyright litigation and enforcement, representing a broad range of clients in federal courts as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO. She counsels clients on trademark prosecution matters, acquiring and registering copyright assets, and negotiating licensing agreements. She participates in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, pre-trial counseling, researching and drafting motions, and trial preparation, in both state and federal courts. Bhatt was recently part of a team that won a preliminary injunction for trademark infringement in federal courts on behalf of client Cointreau Corporation.
Bhatt received her B.A. with High Honors at Johns Hopkins University in 2003 and her J.D. at Boston University of Law in 2009.
